Beaujolais Nouveau Day in France

As promised, thought I'd let you know my thoughts on the bottle of Beaujolais Nouveau that I bought yesterday and consumed last night(for research purposes I hasten to add!)

I opted for the Georges Dubœuf one as this year's label is a pretty pink floral affair (can you imagine the wine buffs basing their selection on the colour of the label designs?)

Now I DID say yesterday that I was certainly no wine connoisseur, but I found this red wine light and very easy to drink. That's all. No hint of rose petals or toasted oak. But the whole bottle got consumed.

That's me, enjoying a glass of Beaujolais.
